About the Role
We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our globally distributed team at Peak Creative Studio. This is a fully remote position with quarterly visits to either our Austin or London office. As a senior member of our design team, you'll lead the creation of exceptional digital experiences for our global clients while collaborating with team members across different time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end design process from research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototypes and implementation specifications.
Drive the creation and maintenance of scalable design systems across multiple client projects.
Facilitate remote design workshops and user testing sessions across different time zones.
Mentor junior designers and contribute to our async-first design culture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using modern remote collaboration tools.
Technical Requirements
Advanced proficiency in Figma, including component creation, auto-layout, and complex prototyping features.
Experience with modern design tools: Principle, Framer, ProtoPie for advanced interactions and animations.
Practical knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and their constraints
Expertise in creating responsive designs and understanding of CSS Grid and Flexbox principles.
Proficiency in version control systems (Abstract, Figma Version History) for design file management.
Experience with design tokens and maintaining consistency across multiple platforms.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and assistive technologies.
Familiarity with motion design principles and micro-interactions.
Experience with research tools like Maze, UserTesting, or Hotjar.
Comfort with asynchronous communication tools (Slack, Notion, Miro, Linear).
Work Requirements
Strong internet connection and fully equipped home office setup.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.
Experience with remote collaboration and async work culture.
Availability to overlap with core team hours (4 hours with either UK or US time zones).
Willingness to travel quarterly to either Austin or London office for team workshops.
