Brand Designer

FULL-TIME

AUSTIN

About the Role

As a Brand Designer at Peak, you won’t just be making things "look pretty"—you will be building the visual DNA of brands. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and art, translating complex business goals into cohesive, scalable visual identities.

You’ll work closely with Art Directors, Copywriters, and Strategists to launch new brands from scratch and revitalize existing ones. We are looking for someone who obsesses over typography, understands the emotional power of color, and can articulate the "why" behind every design choice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visual Identity Systems: Develop comprehensive brand systems including logos, typography, color palettes, and iconography.

  • Brand Guidelines: Create and maintain detailed brand books and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital and physical touchpoints.

  • Multichannel Design: Execute assets for various platforms, including social media campaigns, website UI, pitch decks, and physical packaging.

  • Collaborative Concepting: Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the high-level creative strategy for new client pitches.

  • Stakeholder Presentation: Confidently present your design concepts to internal teams and external clients, incorporating feedback effectively.

  • Quality Control: Review final assets to ensure they meet the agency’s high standards and are technically sound for production.

Technical Requirements
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Expert-level proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

  • Digital Design Tools: Strong working knowledge of Figma or Adobe XD for hand-offs to the development team.

  • Typography & Layout: A deep understanding of grid systems, hierarchy, and advanced typesetting.

  • Motion Graphics (Bonus): Basic skills in After Effects to bring brand elements to life via motion is a major plus.

  • Portfolio: A link to a professional portfolio demonstrating 3–5 diverse brand identity projects (from concept to execution).

Work Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Experience: 3 years of experience, preferably within an agency or fast-paced creative environment.

  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain design logic to non-designers.

  • Curiosity: A proactive interest in staying ahead of design trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts.

Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: $30,000 - $40,000 per year.

  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Growth Budget: Annual stipend for workshops, design conferences, or specialized software courses.

  • Creative Freedom: A collaborative culture where your ideas are heard, and experimentation is encouraged.

  • Equipment: Top-of-the-line MacBook Pro and a stipend to set up your home office.
